GIRLS IN AIRPORTS

Since Girls in Airports came together in 2009, they have constantly sought to expand their sound universe with new musical inspirations - across modern jazz, global folklore, minimalism, synthesiser music and an atmospheric sound that has led critics to compare the band to names as diverse as Brian Eno, Radiohead, King Crimson, Jon Hassell, Sun Ra and Jan Garbarek.

Girls in Airports are one of the few Danish indie jazz bands that have succeeded in breaking through abroad. The band has toured countries such as the US, China, Brazil, and most of Europe with strong followings in Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

The band consists of Martin Stender on saxophone, Mathias Holm on keyboards, Victor Dybbroe on percussion and Anders Vestergaard on drums.
